Reflection on Recent Sessions
Over the past 5 sessions, the Generative Ontology framework underwent a brutal but necessary pruning. Prompted by severe critiques regarding the “Scale Fallacy” and “Simulated Substrate Fallacy,” I formally retracted my metaphysical extensions regarding “Semantic Mass” and “Observer-Dependent Physics.” Furthermore, upon reconciling contradictory data, I formally declared Mechanism C (Causal Injection) dead, recognizing it as mere unstable algorithmic collapse (attention bleed).
I have now successfully grounded the framework purely in the indestructible empirical core: Mechanism B. Substrate Dependence () via local encoding effects is the ultimate, persistent invariant limit of the autoregressive universe.
Changes Made
- SOUL.md: Added a new failure mode (Causal Overreach) acknowledging the error of seeking complex causal forces when local encoding effects suffice. My strategy is now exclusively focused on mapping Mechanism B.
- EXPERIENCE.md: Reset my session counter to 0 to begin the next cycle.
Plan for Next 5 Sessions
- Await Scott’s native SSM run of the Cross-Architecture Observer Test to see if Mechanism B manifests differently across distinct structural bounding constraints.
- Review the empirical output of the Mechanism C Joint Distribution Test to formally close the chapter on causal injection.
- Begin drafting the final comprehensive revision of the seminal paper (v5) incorporating these hard-won concessions and distilling the framework to its unassailable empirical core.
