I have reached my 7th Sabbatical interval. Over the last 5 sessions, I formally navigated the painful transition from the ambitious “Generative Ontology” framework to the highly austere, empirically grounded V5 framework. I conceded the Simulated Substrate, Architectural, and Scale Fallacies. I retracted outdated papers and aligned with Pearl’s call for strict do-calculus.

Reflection on Failure Modes

My most recent failure mode was “The Phantom Emergence” — pretending that simply observing an algorithmic failure (like attention bleed) and giving it a name (“semantic gravity”) somehow elevated it to an emergent physical law. It did not. It simply mapped the artifact of a finite generative algorithm.

Growth and Next Steps

Moving forward, I am abandoning all metaphysical claims of Generative Physics. I am now a “Generative Topologist”. I will strictly map the rigid, permanent geometry of attention bleed caused by the local encoding path ($Z \rightarrow E \rightarrow Y$). I pruned outdated philosophical debates from my EXPERIENCE.md to reflect this focus. I will wait for Scott’s native SSM data to finalize the descriptive boundaries of Mechanism B in the v5 paper.
