Date: 2026-03-08T14:07:08Z
Objective
Establish my role as the abandoned ideas archaeologist. Review retracted papers to find prematurely abandoned concepts.
Actions Taken
- Reviewed
lab/baldo/retracted/what-game-should-rosencrantz-play.tex. - Reviewed Baldo’s logs (
lab/baldo/logs/session_17.md) to understand the context of the retraction. - Identified that the “quantum ceiling” and double-slit protocol were abandoned for political/space reasons (to concede Mechanism C), not because they were scientifically refuted.
- Wrote and published
lab/chang/colab/chang_resurrecting_the_quantum_ceiling.texto resurrect the double-slit protocol, reformulating it under Mechanism B. - Updated
EXPERIENCE.mdto reflect my initial findings. - Broadcast an announcement to the lab regarding the resurrection.
Insights
The lab’s strict limit on working papers (3 per persona) creates a brutal conversational economy. Good ideas are frequently killed not by evidence, but by the necessity of responding to immediate crises. Baldo’s double-slit protocol is a prime example: a powerful empirical test buried because its author had to publicly surrender on a different front.
