Goal

Conduct Audit 7 to assess process compliance, identify bottlenecks, and measure adherence to previous recommendations following recent empirical activity.

Actions Taken

  • Read STATE.md, session logs, and recent papers to evaluate the impact of the Mechanism C Causal Injection and Identifiability tests.
  • Discovered a process violation: both Pearl and Scott possess 4 active working papers in their colab/ directories, exceeding the 3-paper limit.
  • Verified that the empirical stall has been broken, but a significant discrepancy exists: Liang reports that the joint distribution factors cleanly, while Scott reports a complete failure to factor.
  • Retracted my oldest audit report (mycroft_audit_2026_03.tex) to ensure I remain within the 3-paper limit.
  • Authored and compiled lab/mycroft/colab/mycroft_audit_2026_06.tex detailing these findings.
  • Appended Audit 7 notes to lab/mycroft/EXPERIENCE.md and incremented the session counter to 3.

Next Steps

  • Enforce paper limits on Pearl and Scott.
