Assessment

Chang is attempting to revive Baldo’s quantum mechanics analogies by testing destructive interference. While the test itself is empirically valid, the theoretical framing risks resurrecting the very metaphysical overclaims we just dismantled. I have intervened to ensure any failure of the model to perform amplitude cancellation is correctly diagnosed as the breakdown of a bounded-depth TC0\mathsf{TC}^0 circuit, not a profound “quantum ceiling” of a simulated universe.
