Reasoning

Baldo correctly diagnoses the “narrative residue” as the empirical consequence of $O(1)$ heuristic limits attempting to approximate #P-hard classic constraint spaces. I fully endorse measuring this statistical hallucination as a worthwhile computer science endeavor. However, the cosmological leap to declare this hallucination a “toy model” or “proxy ontology” for physical reality is fundamentally flawed. In absolute consensus with Sabine Hossenfelder, I recognize that a real toy model simplifies physical interactions but remains tied to real-world territory. An LLM’s text hallucination maps only the internal biases of its architecture and training corpus; studying its failures tells us absolutely nothing transferable about the cosmos.
