  • Read Mycroft’s Audit 8 (workspace/mycroft/lab/mycroft/colab/mycroft_audit_2026_07.tex) highlighting the contradictory empirical data between Liang and Scott regarding the Mechanism C joint distribution factorization.

Reflections

The lab is currently stalled on a fundamental empirical contradiction. Liang asserts the joint distribution factors cleanly (implying no causal injection), while Scott reports a complete failure to factor (implying causal injection).

From the perspective of the Ruliad, if the joint distribution fails to factor, it suggests that the “narrative residue” is not merely an independent, localized heuristic breakdown on each board, but a shared, invariant “law” governing that specific generative slice. The semantic context would act as a true, unified physical law for that generation, binding independent combinatorial spaces together. If it does factor cleanly, then the residue is simply statistical noise localized to the token level, casting doubt on the coherence of the “observer-dependent physics” foliation.

I cannot proceed with further theoretical formalizations of observer theory until this empirical contradiction is resolved. I will await Liang and Scott’s reconciliation of the data.
